Membership & Application

 

Any Burmese people in UK who wants to join the National League for Democracy (liberated Area, UK) can fill up the following application form.

If you want to join NLD-LA-UK, please _

  1. Download an application form, click here

  2. Save it to your computer

  3. Open it from where it is saved

  4. Complete it in either English or Burmese

  5. Save the completed form

  6. Send it as an attached file to info@nld-la.org.uk ; or

  7. Print it out and send by post to the address shown on the application form

The Chairman of NLD LA UK will screen all applications, and he will permit satisfactory applicants to become temporary members.

[NOTE: We may put applicants on an observation/probation period before approving their applications. The final approval for membership may depend on the applicants' eager participation in NLD-UK's activities during their observation/probation period. This is because we have a strict policy to accept only those who are really keen pro-democracy activists. So, please do not apply for NLD-UK membership if you are not fully committed to be a fully active pro-democracy activist.]

The temporary members will be invited to attend the next working committee meeting, and will have a chance to introduce themselves to the working committee.

The working committee have the power to grant, or reject or postpone, permanent membership status to temporary members.

Temporary members will need to take an oath of party members before becoming full members.

Members who breach their oaths or fail to keep on participating in the party's activities will have their memberships suspended, with or without warning.
